Easter in Review
Thanks to the many hands who made Easter so wonderful last Sunday!
The Egg Hunt was a fun frenzy of sprinting, laughter and chaos. Thanks to the Youth for hiding the eggs and to all those who donated goodies for the insides. Special thanks to Charlotte LaLonde for the several hundred eggs she stuffed herself!
And a thank you to the parents who supported our Easter choir by making it to rehearsal each week and encouraging your children to participate. Hearing their beautiful voices sing the joy of Easter and lead our congregation in worship was wonderful.
Today! Sunday School @ 9am - Living in Community
.We're kicking off our FINAL Sunday School unit of the 21-22 school year, Living in Community. It is the perfect unit for us as we emerge from our Covid cocoons! Over the next four weeks, we'll look at how we gather as a community despite differences, disagreements and backgrounds. We'll learn about feasting together, sharing in joys and sorrows and how we say goodbye when people physically leave our community. If you are just working your way back into the regular routine of this community or new to our WPC family, we would love to have you join us in these learning experiences. Our kids have great conversations, do fun activities and grow together as friends as we learn together.
The basics: 9-9:50am, Preschool (Red Room downstairs), K-2 (gym), 3/4 (gym) and Club 56 (gym). Adults meet in the conference room, explore the same themes the kids are doing for the week and finish 5 minutes earlier than the kids to make pickup before worship easier.
Nursery Care
Childcare is offered from 8:50am-the end of fellowship after worship down in the preschool area for children through age 5. On nice days, the kids love to play on the playground, so please make sure they have a jacket and/or sunscreen depending on the day. Children of all ages are welcome in our worship at all times, but we understand sometimes caregivers need a few minutes to themselves to worship.
Looking to get Involved?
Our Children's Ministry is looking for assistance on the following specific projects. Please email if you'd like to be involved:
Teacher Appreciation - As our Sunday School year draws to a close, we'd like to offer our thanks to the volunteers who have given their time and hearts to teach our children of all ages. We are in need of 1 or 2 people who can dream up and put together some teacher appreciation gifts to be presented on May 22.
End of Year Celebration - After worship on May 22, we're inviting all of our CM families to join us in the park for some fellowship together. Are you willing to help with the food planning/serving that day? Let me know!
Camp Tuttle 2022: Tuition Support and Scholarships for rising 3rd-7th graders
WPC will be subsidizing the cost of any child that will be attending this summer. We will provide $50 to the families for each mini camper and $100 for a full length camp. (These will be provided directly to you after you register and pay to Camp Tuttle.) Please reach out to me personally if you want to inquire about a larger scholarship.
If your child is attending, please add their name here so we know who will be attending.
