CHRISTMAS PLAY THIS SUNDAY!
We won't have Sunday School classes this week due to the Christmas Play.
Please have your child gather in their Sunday School classrooms between 8:50 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. The first thing they need to do is put on their costumes. If you can stay to help them do this, that would be great. We will have teachers and parent volunteers on hand to help, also. Then, we will gather together and practice the songs once. We will also have holiday crafts and games to occupy the children before the play. For the 9:00 a.m. worship service, the play will happen after the sermon, at about 9:45 a.m.
At the end of the 9:00 a.m. worship service, after the play, the children will be walked back downstairs and to their classrooms. They can take off costume pieces if desired. Then everyone will go to the Club 56 Lounge, where there will be a snack and a movie. The play will happen again, at the beginning of the 11:15 a.m. worship service.
At about 11:35 a.m., the play will be over, and everyone should head down to their classrooms and take off and turn in all costume pieces. Volunteers will be on hand to assist in getting costumes back into labeled bins and returning kids to their parents.
NARRATOR PRACTICE
Parents of narrators, PLEASE help your child practice reading their part very slowly and clearly. Practice makes a big difference at this age. And being able to understand the narrators makes a big difference to the congregation, particularly the elderly, that morning.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR
A reminder that all kids are invited to join the WPC Children's Choir for a few weeks of practice, followed by a performance at the 7:00 p.m. service on Christmas Eve. We will try and squeeze in some choir practice this Sunday, while the children are downstairs between runs of the Christmas Play. We encourage children to also practice at home. CLUB 56 CHRISTMAS PARTY
A reminder that our 5th and 6th graders have a Christmas gathering at 12:00 p.m. in the Lounge, following the play practice this Saturday. Club 56 parents should have received a separate email about the party. If you didn't, please let Stasha Lewis know at dr.stasha.lewis@gmail.com.
